Inkheart by Cornelia Funke

The novel that I am reading now for my book report is called Inkheart.

It takes place in the past, and there is a girl called Meggie, trying to get to her father, Mortimer, when he is kidnapped bye three people that belong to the villain, Capricorn. A guy named Dustfinger helps them. Meggie always wondered why he never read to her from an actual book. As Meggie goes on with him though their terrifying journey, she figures out why. Mortimer (or should i call him Silvertounge) can read the characters out of any book. Meggie learns that she inherited that from him, and since Capricorn already has her, he no longer needs Meggie's father.
