Title: Princess of the Midnight Ball

Author: Jessica Day George

# 272/272 pages read

Hopefully for the last time, I am writing about my book report book. As I stated in my last post there are many main characters in this book, but I stated only the 3 most important. So I will tell you of three conflicts that each character runs into. King Understone, who had a voice like" ...a steel blade breaking on stone." page 1 once had a problem when Galen snuck into the Evil Kings palace. Obviously that was fixed but in the end of the story, he was stabbed in the chest by a, well, you have to find out yourself. Galen in the beginning had no home, job, or place to go after the war, as he said, "...I don't have a home or a sweetheart or even work.", page 14, but later on finds a home with his uncle and aunt, and works as a under-gardener, he also finds his sweetheart, princess Rose. Galen also faces a big obstacle when he is trying to follow the princesses on the third night and gets caught. Finally here is Rose the eldest of the 12 sisters. Rose who was" ...grateful for the garden." page 36, was startled by Galen and dived headlong into the water and caught the pneumonia for 6 months, and still dance every night from midnight 'til dawn. Lastly she was kidnapped with her sisters by King Underground when Galen was caught.
