The boy in the striped pajamas

Author: John Boyne
Finished

The 2 main characters, I think are Bruno, and Schmuel the Polish kid in the camps next to Bruno's house located in the "Out-With". Bruno's "problem" is his rather unfortunate life out of his home in Berlin. He had a lot of friends and family in Berlin know he has a unfortunate life. Just to add to his "misery" he is living with his 12 year-old sister who is often described in Bruno's pessimistic words a the "hopeless case". Unfortunately\Luckily for Bruno, he is not aware about the really, unfortunate life of the people in the concentration camps next to him. He is not even aware that the people in the shacks next to him are POW's (Prisoner's of war ) due to the Third Reich's ideas about Aryan superiority. Luckily for him, his as described by Bruno " Stupid father" is a high ranking general (Probably SS, because he is living near the concentration camps), making a good living for his family. To even add to his bad way of thinking, he thought that up until the encounter with Maria,(I personally think the most important part in the book) he thought that she only existed for them, which was later proven false.

On the other side, Schmuel, the real unfortunate guy in this book had quite some problems. He is described as coming from Warsaw, the capital of Poland. He said he never "Herd" for Berlin, and that he says that Warsaw is a great place to live. Naturally, Bruno disagreed with that "incorrect thought". His grandpa is, he said  is a watch repairer and his parents are rarely mentioned. He is said to be bald, and very slim, and obviously feeded with insufficient amounts of food. He, with out much thinking, would wish freedom and to go back to Warsaw once again. He claims that his father is missing.

Curiosity is a positive thing and may kill. That is the case here. (You are probably thinking, "What the heck is he writing about?") The two boys decide to search for Schmuel's father. Bruno's masks up as a BOY IN THE STRIPED PAJAMAS and enters the camp. Note: The following part of the text needs a tough soul to read.

While searching for Schmuel's father they get trapped in a line. The are forced to enter a mysterious room. Suddenly, the soldiers shut the door's and gas enter's the chamber. Everybody in the chamber is DEAD.

Sorry if I messed up your day, but that is the harsh reality. (I will not put in interesting facts because it might disturb some people, due to the to big amount of sadness presented in the text).

Thank you for reading my brutal blog post.
