I have recently finished a book called the encyclopedia of records (234-234). It is a non-fiction book in Serbian. It contains some very interesting records on the following themes: Earth,Space,Animals,Plants, Accidents, society and vehicles. I would advise this book to all readers who like non-fiction, and who want to learn about new things. Here are 5 records that I personally found interesting, and in one aspect, tragic:
1. Gabon (Africa) is the country with the most people who go to primary school. A record 167%. This might not make a lot of sense, but older students who did not educate themselves earlier, took a chance and tried it in a later stage of their life.
2. The 2 countries that have the least amount of students that attend primary school are Niger and Burkina Faso. With a very small 29%. It is logical that in that case only 14,3% of the population is a able to read and write.
3.Canada is the country with the biggest amount of students attending university. A record 90% in the write age group. Ex. Italy is on 45% while Germany has 5% less.
4. Eritrea is the country that gives most of its budget to military purposes. A record 44%. Angola spends 16.5%, Avghanistan 14,9%, while North Korea 14,3 %. This is a very big amount due to the poor economical situation of the countries listed.
5. China has the worlds biggest military force. An astounding 3 million people (population: 1.3 Billion people). The U.S. has an army that is two times smaller, while India and Russia have an army that is 3 times smaller than the Chinese armed forces.
The word that I found interesting was coureagous. "Before that 900 coureagous people tried but he succeeded first.
